What is the Jean Monnet Chair?

The Jean Monnet Chair is a university chair awarded by the European Commission within the framework of the Jean Monnet program. Its objective is to strengthen teaching and research on European integration in universities, both in the member states of the European Union and in other countries.

The name honors Jean Monnet, a French politician who, as an advisor to Robert Schuman, was instrumental in laying the foundations of the European Communities.

This chair will be taught by Miguel López-Coronado, Professor of Telecommunications, who has a recognized and extensive knowledge of telecommunications policy
